Welcome the New Year in festive style
Would you like to end the year in good company without having to organise everything yourself? Hotel AM Fang is also transformed into a welcoming festive setting for New Year’s Eve.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, explore the surrounding area or unwind in the swimming pool and sauna. In the evening, a festive dinner buffet awaits, while live music provides an enjoyable soundtrack to the final evening of the year.
Later in the evening, we serve a selection of hot and cold snacks. At midnight, we raise a glass of sparkling wine together. On New Year’s Day, you can enjoy a leisurely morning followed by an extensive New Year’s brunch.

Winter excursions in the surrounding area
Hotel AM Fang is situated on the outskirts of Bad Laasphe, amid the rolling countryside of the Wittgenstein region. Expansive forests, charming half-timbered towns and winter views make this a wonderful area to explore during the festive season.
Walking through the winter landscape
Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the peace and fresh air. Around Bad Laasphe, you will find various short and longer walking routes through forests, across hills and past scenic viewpoints. Follow the Lahn-Facette Entenberg, for example, or explore part of the famous Rothaarsteig trail. When snow falls, the surrounding area is transformed into an enchanting winter landscape.
Discover historic Bad Laasphe
The historic centre of Bad Laasphe is around a ten-minute walk from the hotel. Stroll past the half-timbered houses, discover the charming streets and enjoy views of Wittgenstein Castle. During the dark winter months, the illuminated façades and welcoming streets provide a beautiful setting for a peaceful walk.
Winter activities in the Sauerland
When snow conditions permit, you can enjoy cross-country skiing, sledging and skiing in the region. The Hesselbach ski area is approximately a ten-minute drive from the hotel, while the winter sports facilities around Winterberg are also within easy reach. Winter activities depend on the weather and snow conditions, so please ask our reception team about the current options during your stay.
Visit the Christmas markets
Twinkling lights, the aroma of mulled wine and freshly baked treats, and cosy stalls filled with gifts and Christmas decorations: in the weeks leading up to Christmas, the surrounding area takes on a wonderfully festive atmosphere. From Hotel AM Fang, you can visit several Christmas markets. Walk to the small Christmas market in Bad Laasphe, experience the local charm of Bad Berleburg or enjoy a longer winter excursion to Marburg, Siegen or Winterberg.
